* to calculate PSF to calculate PSF (Pounds per Square Foot), multiply the length of the in plant office X the width of the office and divide it by the MAXIMUM DISTRIBUTED load that you anticipate will be stored upon it.  For example: if you have an in plant office 10 ft. long X 8 ft. wide, the formula would be as follows: 10 X 8 = 80 square feet.  You anticipate placing, say, 2000 lbs. upon the office roof (EVENLY distributed over the 80 square foot area – NOT concentrated on, say, a pallet, occupying only a 4' X 4' area) 2000 lbs. divided by 80 square feet = a PSF of 25.
