Horizontal
Belt Conveyors are
used to move product at either a constant or variable speed at a typical
work height of 30 - 34 inches or whatever you specify. Constant speeds are
available from 7 fpm to 165 fpm. The most common speed is 65 fpm.
Horizontal belt conveyors use a variety of belt materials, from
friction surface to PVC-120 COS Gloss, to "rough-top" to suit
your application They accommodate almost any product of any size, shape,
and weight.

Inclined
Belt Conveyors are used to
move product from floor to floor, either up, down, or both ways
(reversible). The dimensions of the product being conveyed are important.
The relationship between product height and product length (going in the
line of travel) determines the maximum angle at which the conveyor
can be situated without the center of gravity causing the product to
tumble back down. Double nose-overs are used to graduate the
transition of the product from diagonal to horizontal at the discharge end
of the conveyor. Each nose-over section should be long enough to
accommodate 2/3 the length of the product to assure a smooth
transition. Roller conveyors are usually situated at the discharge end,
and power-feeder sections (of belt conveyor) at the infeed end.

Ball
Transfer Tables
are
used to allow a product to be manually turned or rotated for
assembly applications, or to permit an abrupt perpendicular transition of
products from adjacent parallel conveyor lines. They consist of a series
of steel or nylon balls in sealed roller-bearing cups, spaced on centers
suitable to the product dimensions.

Gravity
Roller Conveyors use rollers
instead of wheels to move the product. The product should have a
fairly smooth and uniform conveying surface. In determining roller centers (as with
Live Roller Conveyors), the product should have a minimum of 3 rollers
beneath it. Gravity roller conveyors will not allow products to orient
properly around a curve unless you specify "tapered rollers".
Tapering the roller causes a speed differential on the curve and
facilitates product orientation. Gravity roller conveyors will accommodate
any size product of any weight and size, and begin with a 1-3/8 in.
diameter roller up to a 3-1/2 in. diameter roller ... and larger,
depending on the required capacity.
